Sanity. Her own. Her brother’s.
She could feel it. Her mind was wandering, but she could feel his mind slipping. Her hands clenched into fists, her knuckles bone white.
Rose felt tears sting her eyes as she felt her brother’s mind slip away, his sanity failing him as he began to go grimdark.
“David… You bastard… Was seeing Mom die that bad? Why you, and not me? WHY?!”
She screamed at the sky above, the air around her shifting in response.
Rose Egbert was cursed with the sanity her brother would never hold.
